Belgian beers (from Belgium) can be some of the best beers in the world.
Personally, however, I'm more into the PNW or NorCal IPAs. Pliny, Walking Man, Blue Dot, Blind Pig, La Conner... stuff like that.
Don't know - maybe haven't developed the palate for the Belgians.

In general don't like many of the "Belgian style" beers out there.

Way to save face.

More of the left hand. Their Wheat Beer is surprisingly good. I don't normally like Wheats, but this one has a good spice to it.

IPA is an English beer that was brewed to make the long trip to India in the barrel.

It's rather unsurprising that it is hard to find in London.

I suppose the question should be, do the brits make an IPA that is even worth mentioning in comparison to American IPAs?

A taste issue.

Stouts are simple and easy. Gateway beers. You progress from them to things like Imperial Stouts. Eventually you drink IPAs and double IPAs. You get to Imperial IPAs and things like that and from their either go to "extreme" beers (meaning you have damaged taste buds) or to things like Belgian beers.

It's a natural progression and you should not feel bad about the beers you like no matter where you are on the journey.

Pussy.

I'm not sure you know what you're talking about. Making an OK stout is easy. Making a really good stout is harder. Making a really good imperial stout is even harder. Drinking a pilsner is easy but making a really good one is very hard. Belgium beers have a tendency to be more forgiving in the brewing process because the crazy yeast produce so many esters and fusel alcohols that it has a tendency to cover up any of the brewing fuck-ups you make. Belgiums require creativity, the ability to be brave and say "Fuck it, I'm not even going to wash these cherries before I stick them in my wort" and lots of patience.

Stick them in my wort.
