They are all the same to me...

Cool car?

I guess.

There is a whole slew of supercars that are shooting for the Veyron in outright acceleration and this is one of em. These cars are designed for the big dawg tmes like 0-300 kmh (0-186 mph) and 200-300 kmh etc. These numbers sell supercars. Would you buy this car over one of these?

I'll drive a hybrid like this!
Image

In an interesting about-face, Porsche has revealed the first images and details on its new racer, the 911 GT3 R Hybrid.

Based on the rear-drive 911 GT3 R that's set to take to the track in privateer hands later this year, the GT3 R Hybrid utilizes a rear-mounted, 480-hp 4.0-liter flat-six in conjunction with two electric motors that drive the front wheels. Residing in the space normally reserved for the passenger seat sits a flywheel, which harnesses kinetic energy under braking and can spin upwards of 40,000 rpm. Once enough energy is stored, the system lets loose up to 120 kilowatts – approximately 160 horsepower – to the front wheels in six to eight second bursts that are controlled by a steering wheel-mounted button.

Porsche apparently hasn't released official performance specs, but the GT3 R Hybrid's world debut will take place at the Geneva Motor Show before it hits the track for its motorsports debut at the Nürburgring 24 Hours on May 15. Devised as a rolling "racing laboratory," after the Hybrid takes to the Green Hell this year, Porsche plans to assault the 24 Hours of LeMans in a refined version in 2012, just as the sanctioning body begins to favor hybrids. Now about that "no hybrids" thing...

If I had the cash for this puppy It would be a no-brainer. This thing is going to be a hell of a rare classic. Although I could barely bring myself to drive it considering the pristine condition it's in.

There are faster ways to flush 30k down the toilet I guess.

I on the other hand would just buy a m3 for 10k and rip out the interior and beat the shit out of it and save the 30k for other fun...

Never understood the point of buying a car that is all about the enjoyment of driving -- and then not driving it.

Well you see, malachi... there is this thing called "value" and some see it in terms of "money." Money-wise the sum value of it for a car rarely goes up. So when people see a car that may actually appreciate in value, they also understand that preserving the vehicle is the only way to achieve that. These people are dooshbags.

All value that comes from a vehicle comes from driving it. This is why the 2001 CR125 Honda Supermoto is the most valuable vehicle that is possible to make.

Im more stating that in THIS CASE the regular m3 is 95 percent that the CSL is, so why bother? But if you had reams of cash then who cares?

Im definitely not a fan of garage queens.

Me either, but anyone who would buy a classic CSL and"beat the shit out of it" deservers the same treatment. Just sayin.

And for the perpetually ignorant (LOX), the ricer graphixxx actually came that way from the Vaterland, like em or not. If you had them buffed out how would anyone know how rare your car was that you were so flippantly beating teh shit out of?

My vanity plate reads like a limited edition 35/116.

Plus, real enthusiasts would know and ask why I did what I did and I would tell them that I just like it better that way. I'd also take off the wing.

Also: spinnarz on tha scraper.
