There is a little hole in the wall mexican restaurant near me named Mi Barrio. Most Saturday mornings they serve posole and menudo as specials. The matriarch of the family comes in this one day of the week and is in charge of the stews. Im not big on a huge bowl of tripe, but the posole is deliciously spicy with a salty seasoned red broth, and has huge chunks of tender pork shoulder and loads of hominy.

I went to my little hole in the wall last night for tacos. As I was waiting, I asked about this "Menudo*Tripe" on the back page of their menu. Apparently, they no longer make it. However, they do make posole! And it's not listed on the menu. They might be making some this weekend. And that's fully awesome.

Menudo is delicious... until you realize what you're eating. It looks like intestine.

Finally tried a sushi joint that I walk by damn near every day. Been in that spot since the 90s. It was tasty and the pieces were much larger than the stupid trendy sushi places that popped up all over the city in the mid 2000s. This establishment had the standard local media celeb photos with little notes and signatures as to why they love it so much.
A sampling of tasty fish.

Spicy salmon roll that wasn't very spicy. But still quite tasty.

Some mackerel, spanish I think they said. And the best uni I've had thus far.

There isn't even a plate under that cheese. How good can it be when it's served off a damn picnic table?

My taste is not swayed by throwing a hat in the background and using short depth of field to highlight ceese haphazardly placed on a picnic table, which I might add has flaking blue paint on it. I'm sure that paint can't be good for you.

Looks like the wolf didn't get much. Maybe it was the Chupacabra on vacation in Canada.
