Also, gods wouldn't gloat over figuring out something as face-slappingly obvious as a bad alternator. Double fail.

I remember that day in chat. In true climatologist fashion, you predicted you would never be able to get that vehicle operational again. And now look... seems like you're well-qualified for the position you studied for.

20100112 14:49:58< porchiepie> and it's stuck at the garage
20100112 14:50:00< porchiepie> so i will never get it working again (implied)

With your ability to be as wrong as you are, I'm surprised you don't have a job in your field by now.

And just what was your implication there?

You know nothing about working on cars, and it's stuck at the garage, so:

a) You're going to get it towed home and fix it yourself.

or

b) You're screwed.

You thought you were screwed.

I am happy to see that you took my advice and set aside counting birds for your gf long enough to take matters into your own hands and learn something about your automobile. A lot of things are similarly simple when it comes to cars, and now that you have accomplished one mechanical project on your jeep you will be more confident when it comes to other problems in the future. Who knows you might even start to keep a socket set, spare spark plugs, and spare fluids in your trunk so that you can heroically save yourself in times of need. P must be damn proud of you.
