do not let them in, no matter how cold it is. I let a homeless person in once. they stayed for 10 hours. had to call the cops to get them to leave.

she smelled like mold. It was thanksgiving so when she came knocking I invited her in and made her some soup, then gave her some warm clothes, then after she spent 3 hours in the bathroom "changing" I called the cops. Pretty sure she was in there shooting up and has passed out.

back in college in west philly, chilling on the front porch one afternoon after classes with the housemates and a case of natty light, dude walks up the steps and asks for a beer. we all looked at each other, saying "hell no" with our eyes. dude then introduces himself as "otis the superman rapper" and busts into Grandmaster Flash's "The Message". naturally, that earned him a beer.

naturally, we couldn't get him to leave afterwards. true story.
