I have a bottle of Maker's around.
I serve it to people who can't taste anything (no point in wasting the good stuff).

spending 50-plus bucks on a wee bottle of single malt isn't sustainable on a magazine editor's salary these days (media implosion lol!). thus, a big-ass bottle of makers. tastes a lot better than beam. tastes purdy damn smooth for the price, actually.

Bourbons can be cheaper and delicious alternatives to the single malt scotch. I like the Bulleit Bourbon myself, but will go with Woodford, Knob Creek, or any one of the "three B's" if they are priced right. Sip it up!

I don't get how that worked, so I clearly need more coffee.

Basil Hayden, neat; I like the sort of spring water freshness of it.

Woodford is always worthy.

The good stuff is the small batch shit that people who think they have a more developed palatte are swindled into buying so they can think they are somehow better than everyone else.

Small batch ego juice.

No, most whiskeys are fairly good. Bourbon just isn't. Too sweet without having other awesomeness in its favor like Japanese.

Just a matter of taste, but my taste is fucking awesome with fireworks.

Decent spread for this evening. I haven't tried the world wide stout ... 18%abv/70ibu should be interesting.

This world wide stout is retarededly flavored and sweet ... they weren't lying when claiming it tasted more like a port than a beer. They have a bunch of bottles at the Binny's. Is it illegal to ship beer across state lines? I'd send you some if you can't find any...

Although I wouldn't buy this again, not my style. On to nocturnum.
