After the best part of 6 months on this continent, I fly home tonight. Many thanks to those I met and those who pm'd me good beta. To those I didn't meet, what the hell? Screw you guys. I am supremely jealous of the amount of really good rock in the US, especially on the west coast. It's been real, bitches.

Top 3 areas that I went to: Hueco, Buttermilks and LRC. I didn't go to Joe's or Leavenworth, but from what I hear I should have. People seem to love throwing around the phrase "better than Hueco" - only Font is better than Hueco.

Top 10 problems: dunno, there were lots. Ghetto Simulator may be the funnest problem anywhere though.

Top 5 shithole towns: not sure what this means? Vancouver, Austin, Bishop and NYC were all rad (duh!). St George seemed cool enough for the brief time I was there, low alcohol beer not withstanding.

LRC. Yeah, I guess it's fine for an urban crag.

Bitches: you got no clue about the south. Or Appalachia.

(If you think Appalachia is the south, then fuck off and die.)

Appalachian hillbillies, Southern rednecks, there's a difference?
may as well all be Yankee's IMO.

Who cares about such distinctions.
its all east of the Mississippi.
or more specifically, not The West.

I got more rain in a week in the south than I did in 3 months in Hueco/Bishop.

And that is why Hueco and Bishop are called "deserts" and the south is green.

and terrible for trying. more niceporch is *not* what the world needs, especially the "stop dissing the south" era. unless you've actually found a reason to promote humidity and inbreeding?

You mention inbreeding like it's a problem; I was raised, differently--better, really. My Sister-Mother always said: "Hey, The South has its problems (a striking lack of In-n-Out burgers being amongst them), but at least we're not devolving like Arizona."
