not sure how many times in the year+ i've lived here i've seen or been a part of an almost wreck because of a pedestrian.

repeated scenario:

traffic moving along down a 3 lane one way busy city street at 30-35mph. cars in the right lane are turning at various crossing streets. car in front turns right onto cross street only to slam on brakes because pedestrian crossing the street failed or refused to look for turning cars. right of way my big hairy toe.

if for some reason there's no one around and traffic is not held up nor is a wreck more likely because of an action of a pedestrian, i'll give it the right of way any time. but when it causes problems for motorists, asdf.

Driving through huge intersection this morning. Self-entitled douche bag is walking slowly across the intersection where two lanes of traffic are turning, a major traffic artery into downtown. But he has a cross signal so I yield to him, even though he is obviously walking slowly just to piss of drivers. Then some fuck behind me honks and douche bag crossing the street thinks its me and flips me off! So I jumped out of my car and punched him in the face.

Or I came whining here about how unfair life is and the world is filled with assholes.

Here's to the guy that was riding down the wrong way on a one street in the bike lane I was occupying. During rush hour. Seriously. WTF man? Get a clue.

I work facing a one-way street and it is terrifyingly entertaining.

Saw a dude on a go-ped look left and turn right and almost get hit by an oncoming car. I also saw a car flip. And I'm waiting for the littlest duckling to get smooshed but that will be a sad day.
