I'm driving down a narrow residential street (no intersection or crosswalk in site) and some idiot fucking on a bike is stopped in the middle of the road facing me, so I think he waiting for me to pass so he can turn into a house. I slow down and keep going and he emphatically holds his hand up and starts yelling at me and proceeds to yell at me as some woman and her kid cross the street and he continues to yell at me as he bikes by me.

Hey douchebag I don't have to stop for some lady and her kid because she decides to cross the street where there isn't a crosswalk and you think I should stop. Hell, most people in Atlanta don't even stop for people who are in crosswalks.

In a cross walk or at an intersection. If somebody runs into moving traffic and gets hit, the driver is usually not cited, unless they were speeding or something. It becomes a problem if the driver flees the scene.

The laws of man should not try to trump the laws of physics. And its still bull-shit: why is a person in a car less important than a person on the street? Cars don't go on sidewalks, pedestrians don't go on road-ways, seems logical to me. Everyone is trying to get somewhere, whether they are driving, walking, biking, boarding whatever. . . just because you are on foot doesn't make you more important than someone in a car.
