Injury rehab - dislocated and fractured ulna

Pain at 7! That pretty serious. Enough joking around about out this.

What I think you'll truely want is an MRI, since it will show tissue damage (like to disks and pads) as well as bone. MRI. Your Doctor should realize this - I hope you have insurance. Have the doctors look at it, and also maybe take it to an experienced massage/bodywork person who does cranial-sacrial therapy and feels qualified to look at an MRI. You got one of those there, right? Where I live you can't swing a cat without hitting one.

I know that you know that I don't know what I'm talking about, but I do have the saco-illiac joint damage and it was a long time to diagnose it, and when it was, there was little to do about it except PT anyway. But it was a relief to know that it wasn't a slipped or torn disk which would prevent the exercise needed to get better. The way I think now, in my decrepitude, is that I don't want to do anything that could make things worse than they are. It is too much to hope that I'll get better, I only hope to maintain.

No insurance right now. A lull in the b.s. that is the US medical insurance scheme. I am open to private insurance suggestions. I should have gotten the MRI in Italy, but it was literally the day before we left.

The pain was briefly at a 7. Down to like a 1 or 2, moderate stiffness when I stand up from sitting or sleeping. I may go in and get an Xray, knowing that if they don't find a fracture I would maybe need an MRI. I am also stretching and generally staying off it. This sucks though. I really want to be training. It IS rocktober, after all...

Vertical tibia fracture? I know someone who did that skiing once. It took two surgeries to clean up the mess inside her knee.
Broken backs suck too, surprising what you can do after em though.
Heal up quick.

Ulna update: I got frustrated with PT, did a left one-arm lock-off, a lot of sliding on guitar, some two-armed Twister while blacked out, and various amounts of fucking, mostly once the sling came off. Sling-on sex was either one of the best or worst experiences of my life.

I also increased my max one-right-arm pullups and pushups by a handful each, while watching my left upper arm shrivel, and I look a bit like Hellboy.
