That photo is great because it only contains about 4,000 pixels worth looking at.

Dab!

If you ever return to Dallas (which I don't suggest at all), I'll take you to the Dallas World Aquarium early on a Friday morning, when the Orinoco Crocodiles get fed live chickens from a long pole with a loop at the end. Heh... their keeper makes them jump pretty high for them, and it takes a while to clean all the feathers out of the tank before the aquarium opens to the public.

Practically everything in there is either (1) a rescue that is being rehabilitated to return to the wild, or is physically unable to return to the wild; or (2) an endangered or threatened species that is being bred there, to be released to the wild, or to other zoos and aquariums that are involved in a program to broaden the DNA spectrum of that species.

What I think is great is that they've changed the kids' duck petting tank into a tank of still-barbed and -stingered juvenile sting rays that are waiting to get big enough to be released into the Orinoco region of the Amazon basin. They didn't even put a freakin top on the tank! And yes, they will sting if pissed off. There was an incident with a staff member about eight years ago.
