This thread is about bikes

Got raped by a monsoon yesterday a few miles out. Having the sticky Flagstaff mud clog up your drive train and needing to stop and clean it/hike through sections is a fucker.

My question is: Was I too intolerant of their stupid mistakes?

Should've taken a hack saw to their frame. What a jagoff.

Got my bike back last night. This morning I saw the moron's bike again at the rack. I returned their pump. I wanted to cause them the same trouble they caused me, I don't want to steal the pump.
I'm not such a bad guy really.

Do you think he learned anything from the experience? I'm guessing no.

Oh, U mean the other guy. I'll say this: His bike was parked at the exact same spot on the same rack today. For fucks sake, if someone flatted MY tires and stole shit off my bike, I sure as hell wouldn't park in the EXACT same spot again for awhile. Sheesh, what a dumbass.

Stop being a douche. There's a legit chance this chump didn't realize he was being an idiot with the bike lock. Pay it forward, or something.

There's more:

Mrs Bug: I forgot to tell you, I was at the gym yesterday, and my friend Gretchen told me that her bike had been vandalized at the bike rack there.
Bug: No way!
Mrs Bug: Way. She said both her tires were slashed and her pump was stolen. Her Thesis is due this week and what with having to call a friend to drive her to the bike shop and buy two new tires - she doesn't own a car and uses her bike for everything - She's just at her wit's end.
Bug: Someone slashed her tires?
Mrs Bug: That's what she said.
Bug: That doesn't make sense. All I did was let the air out.
Mrs Bug: (silence)
Bug: You didn't tell her it was me, did you?
Mrs Bug: No.

two zipkas?

in ancient times, i had some kind of water bottle battery system with really bright lights that i went riding alone at night with a handful of times.

i could feel the mountain lions sizing me up as i would climb the single track, but i could see every thing in front of me.

on the sides - not at all.

I've seen people riding with (insert inert gas here) lights. But they were like $300. Seems pricy for a light that will break because you WILL crash into a tree. You have luck (read: ECFS) like that.

The Pro Series continues to be the only bike light available to allow complete customization through our unique DIY Software allowing you to tailor fit your light to the ride; light output, lumens and flash modes are all fully programmable by the rider.
What they're saying is I can program this to induce seizures in others on the road. Excellent!

Ridinng el cheapo 8 LED hardware store mini light strapped onto headset with velcro strap. Working better than most other headlights I've used.
