For a lot of the people opposed to any kind of reform, the only thing more sacred than the free market is opposition to abortion. So the aborting of babies is so vile and wrong that it is worthing killing doctors for, but if babies die because their mom doesn't have access to quality pre-natal care...that's cool?

First, why is health care so strongly tied to employment? Never made sense to me..

Second, while I usually support letting capitalism take care of things, in the case of health care I think there absilutely needs to be a socialistic system in place. Letting the free market take care of healthcare has sucked for anyone too poor to pay for quality care. There has to at least be a part of the system NOT out to make money that will provide care to those who can't afford it.

Actually, I've mentioned several times that I am opposed to the health care bill. I think our system can't handle the load that would be imposed on it without requiring massive gubmint payoffs to the insurance companies, who already gouge their customers. I don't want my tax money funnelled into the existing system, as it is broken.

free food is great eh? i totally prefer food someone else has cooked. like tonight, I sat back and ate a great humous, with really good oil on top, and then pizzas. the one pizza had vinegar marianated chicken- and nice healthy pieces too, with a few left over just for eating meat while talking-the other had pumpkin. which was interesting.

ok- not to totally derail this whole shit eater thing, but i have discovered the most amazing toast. here's what happens: make some toast, ordinary whole wheat bread. then forget the toast in the toaster. then find it, toast it AGAIN.. that's basically the magic. it makes extremely crispy toast. then to make it edible again- smother it in butte, shake some sugar on it, cinnomin if you're feeling frisky- rowr- and that's it. better than a crisco sammich- which definitely has it's place too, but is nowhere near as tasty.
