oh, and not to mention that the fridge is fully stocked with beer all up and down the spectrum, there's a pingpong table, and the host is one of the most giving people i've ever met.

too bad i'm almost always climbing there alone, and pretty much the only person setting.

counts for a lot against it actually

here's one for the techno-geeks:

compact flash cards - what's the difference between a sub hundred dollar card vs. an over hundred dollar one, and why should i care?

of course I'm looking at the cards that B&H are offering and wanting to get an 8 to possibly 16GB card.....

The difference is manufacturer and speed. Go with a major player (SanDisk, for example) and the fastest your camera can handle. Don't skimp on quality.
