health risk "assessment"

company is priming us for genetic testing. once they have our gene code, the amount we pay will be based on illness' we are predisposed to or susceptible to based on our sequence. we won't even have to get our cholesterol or glucose tested ever again, and our medical payments will be based off this. this is a brave new world, and i'm so psyched i'm healthy!

We're going through a similar change: if I sign a "health pledge" that promises that I'll endeavor to engage in "healthy habits" while eschewing "unhealthy behaviors," then my premiums and co-pays are substantially lower.

Personally, despite being fairly healthy (so far), I'm reluctant to promise an insurance company anything, for it seems like they're setting up yet another condition through which they could deny me coverage.

And if they use the bullshit BMI standard to measure my physiology, they'll immediately assess me as at high risk for heart disease. I'm "hweight," after all.

Please, someone tell me how health insurance-as-a-for-profit industry benefits consumers. I suppose it could help keep premiums down...

let the free market slip its dick into you.

you just might find that you like it.

Yeah, cause Yuengling is healthy. Hypocrite. Or worse: failed satirist.

Mmm, corndog. I'd rather have a night of hot, greasy passion with one of those than the free market--the free market says it's clean, but that bitch is rotten. And I don't want no trickle-down in my crack.

like any political debate everything gets extreme way too fast.

alcholic beverages taken in moderation have been known to promote good health.

And, many people find that a little sausage every now and again is not going to kill you - or, so i hear.

moderation is so hard to come by.
