the game today was pretty good for the last little bit. what really helped out was sunbathing through the first half.

there was some clever, close midfield play, but otherwise, yes. pretty boring. 2 swims- one through the first half, then again before the crazy long overtime. 30 minutes wtf? make that sudden death ftw.

hypothesis- the players were playing scared. the way the game is structured makes it a game not to lose. there was very little of an opening for someone to do something exceptional. but then, that's pretty much always the challenge of doing something exceptional.
