Orange Beach, Alabama (CNN) -- Allen Kruse had turned his boats into what BP dubs "vessels of opportunity." For two weeks, the charter captain worked for the oil giant, helping haul boom and look for oil.
But those closest to him say Kruse's life unraveled when the oil spill hit the Gulf waters where he worked. Authorities say deck hands found the 55-year-old dead in his boat's cabin, with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, before he was scheduled to head out on the water Wednesday morning.

And, I'm sure they'll blame this on Obama somehow.

I don't think the gumint can fix shit by "instituting" taxes. The government fucked shit up by manipulating taxes, specifically, with the tax breaks you don't want repealed. I don't think the government should give tax breaks, subsidies, to these companies. It is the manipulation of tax subsidies to these companies that is fucked up and equates to a form of socialism... and you are complaining that these subsidy tax breaks are going away because it will cost you more. I'm not confused, you clearly are speaking out in favor of corporate welfare and socialist policy when it provides you a direct benefit.how do you come up with "should have been"??
It is called a "tax burden" and everyone who lives, breathes, and does business in society has one. Recognizing that fact doesn't mean I believe or trust the state. I just understand that the only two constants in life are "death and taxes." So the "should have been" is what you actually owe in taxes. If you get a tax break and pay less, whether you are a corporation or an individual, you are getting a "subsidy" (free fucking socialist money, right?). I don't necessarily support these tax breaks, especially the ones for breeders and corporations, but if the "subsidy" suddenly goes away and you have to start actually paying what you actually owe, don't come complaining to me that your east-street free ride went away. In fact, I support closing these loopholes and people/corporations actually paying what they owe, because where the FUCK do you think that tax break subsidy "free" money comes from? Middle class working man taxes, which I fucking pay on every fucking paycheck I make because I fucking work for a living. Or the deficit.
So when you start your bullshit whine about oil companies passing along their actual tax burden to consumers, it makes me laugh at your ironically hypocritical defense of corporate welfare that actually comes out of your pocket in higher federal taxes or more deficit spending ANYWAY (two things you say you're against.) I wonder if you're really so fucking stupid that you don't realize you pay either way... unless as a government employee you get some special subsidies or tax breaks that us private sector folks don't get.
I just want to call you out for whining that the government isn't subsidizing the oil companies with your tax money enough. As a libertarian, this amuses me.
Your whining in support of corporate welfare and subsidizing Big Oil shows us who the true shiteater is.

speedy1600 wrote:So because a company wants to increase their retained earnings for whatever reason (which increases stock price, and benefits investors, don't worry about that though), we should increase their tax rate? That is what you are advocating?
I never said it was.speedy1600 wrote:Then explain how raising taxes is such a great thing since you wanted to open your bitch mouth.

what about entreprenuers and small buisness people?
how are we supposed to afford to give health insurance to our employees?
right now they go without.
for that matter, how am i supposed to afford health insurance for my family?
i have to get a corporate job or government job - that's how.
is that how your america works wild man?
the way things are currently going, small buisnesses are getting squeezed out of buisness. we don't have 401K's. we don't have health insurance.
i think that's unamerican.
do i have to work for the man to fit in to your conversation?
that's what's wrong with taxing people that make less than 250K a year more. did i miss something? am i going to end up paying more than if i was buying insurance? no.
why the fuck do you two care if your boss has to pay more taxes?
unless you make more than 250K, explain why you have a problem?
when your boss doesn't pay for your insurance anymore - your boss has more money - how's that fucked up?
oh shit!
wrong thread.
