South Africa just scored and ESPN Radio credited Mexico with the goal and hasn't changed it yet. I have a screen capture.

Way to dab right out the gate, american soccer media.

If the official were a bit more fit, South Africa would have won that match. Bad no-call in the box on that break-away.

Would LOVE to see Uruguay beat France.

"This game is about where the sport is in the U.S. And so that's the opportunity we have," U.S. Soccer Federation president Sunil Gulati said. "To get a whole bunch of people that might be casual observers, to get turned on by it, to get turned on by the hype.

i'm going to attempt to watch the game and see if i can't get turned on.

A tie is great. England is favored to win our group. Now they don't have a points advantage over us. We need to beat the weaker two teams in our group and should get through to the next round. Hope for a favorable draw for us there.

Kind of important for us to beat Slovenia pretty big.
While the winner of our group is likely to get a weaker team in the next round (Australia, Serbia or Ghana), 2nd place probably earns a date with Germany.

That's a great result for the US. I'm hoping Australia can do something similar against Germany tonight.

that wasn't too hot, dm. performance doesn't bode well for whomever comes out #2 in group C either. they were sharp.
