weird. i've been trying to figure out how to explain his GAME, but in one word. and you got it. he does these amazing cutting plays, his D is crazy.. then it's like he's got pussy on the mind and he's just not there.

i watched all but the last 2 minutes. they won't all be that easy, but for tonite, the Lakers looked stronger. and what about THREES?? nobody was chuckin' up.

overall, good game and certainly not great. there were amazing plays and others where i just cringed.

last game ended at 11:55 pm on the east coast. i'm gonna go out on limb here and assume there's some CELTIC fans on the east coast, possibly in the Boston area.

now, i know that i am pussy and don't like being up past 10pm. and other blah blah.

but to me, a sporting event is best enjoyed in a a MIXED crowd - that is, people rooting for both sides. and it s/b mixed with drinx. about the crowd again; it's nice when there are people you've never met and now you are both screaming for the same team.

so what does the NBA get: work nights, late nights.

and even though the Lakes shot more free throws last game,

the bogus fouls that got called on #8 when the celts FELL down and/or out of bounds

changed the complexion of the game.

i was expecting a wheelchair at any moment.

plus the ball out of bounds called on the lakers that - even the replays showed and the announcers said that the refs were going to correct, but didn't (the one that KG's hand was obviously on the ball) - that was a comeback killer.

i don't harp on the refs often - i especially hate listening to a few teams local anouncers (Chick Hearn wouldn't do it) - but the last two games were terrible (as chuck would say). too many fouls. too many bugus calls.

nba wants 7 games.

The point of the Finals is that you have to rise above and overcome the myriad things that can go wrong and make you lose a game.

If the Celtics can overcome a pissed-off Kobe/Pau Gasol combo, they deserve the championship. I honestly hope the Lakers DO rise up and take one in Boston. Make it a series. Make Magic proud.
