BP is only helping to delivery a product everyone wants and seems to need. Sometimes spills happen. Don't want that? Don't buy anything derived from or dependent upon oil.

This thread should be renamed "The FUCK HUMANS thread" for accuracy purposes.

Also, fuck BP.

Please explain to me how owning a third car would result in increased gas consumption by us as a household over a calendar year.

Thx Dr.

Besides the fact that everything non-metal in your car is produced with petroleum, you would increase your oil consumption through oil changes, which isn't much. But, you're probably looking to make up for something by buying a Porsche or similar outlandishly useless "track" car, and would be keeping that third tank full of higher octane gas that is burned through a less-smog-filtered engine, which you may even need to haul to the track with a second vehicle!

Doesn't take a vet to know that 3 cars = more oil consumed than 2 cars. Period.

Actually for a third car I was considering an older diesel benzo wagon, which would get WAY better gas mileage than my rice rocket. Driving this car to work every week would easily offset the 1-2 oil changes a year I would need to perform to keep the car running.

SORRY LOX YOU ARE WRONG.

He's just saying what he needs to to weasel out of his obviously untenable position.

It's every wannabe hipster's dream to reduce their carbon footprint with the "older benzo" method. Unfortunately, as those things age and their plastic and rubber parts wear out and need to be replaced, they get replaced with new plastic and rubber parts made from petroleum. Older benzo. lol.

touche.

I would much rather buy an older carburated Porsche than some older Benzo. Okay fine Lox.

But just because I use oil and replace rubber bits on my car and shingle my house in petroleum based shingles doesn't mean I can't be appalled by what is happening in the gulf. I know I am part of the problem. I am a human.

i think they should get fined for whatever safety shortcuts they took, but, COME FUCKING ON!!

you all use oil, you all reap the benefits of it. slim, you are nothing but a cowardly shiteating rat. you live life love lavish and then you run your ignorant anus off like some tree hugging brain dead buttfuck. you are truly the New American trash. just a shitty self hating breed. disgusting.

did you not want oil to be drilled? one fucking accident* and you just go completely shit-nuts over some dying critters? fuck. you eat meat from the fucking meat industry, you eat vegetables from the ag industry - all of those are fucking insanely harsh and murderous.

go screw in a lightbulb and shut your assmouth.

they will import the spill to utah and bury it in the west deser(e)t!

on the good side:

the spill/disaster may have destroyed Salt Lake and LCC, but Joe's should still be climbable!
