He's a huge douche for sure, but the real funny is the headlines:

Landis admits doping, fingers Armstrong.

I bet he WISHES he was fingering Lance Armstrong!

I'm with you. Who wants to see little, skinny pro athletes? I want to see Chad Ocho Cinco style dudes on bike crushing the pyrenees.

He's still world champion. Does anyone REALLY believe that Armstrong never took drugs? Seriously, you think he was that dominant, when everyone else was on the juice, but he wasn't?

DM you are so predictable. Every time I call Cadel a whiny baby your response is but he won blah blah blah and LANCE IS A DOPER! Whether or not Lance dopes and Cadel one whatever race does not change the fact that Cadel is a bad loser who starts whining when things don't go his way (and very well could be a doper himself). I still would rather have him win the Tour over Contador. Cadel was amazing on the muddy Giro stage and he deserved to win and he is kicking ass again today...I really want to like him but he sometimes makes it hard to...

My problem with what Floyd has done has nothing to do with whether Lance has taken drugs...it is the manner in which he has handled everything. How is anyone ever going to believe what he says (even if it is 100% true) when he spent 4 years saying that he was totally innocent and never doped, never saw anyone dope AND then he took donations for his legal battles AND made money off his book? I still believe that what they were accusations of him taking artificial testosterone were not properly proven and that the lab testing is completely flawed...but the way he is handling things now has made his fight totally invalid. Everything he has done with coming out now and saying he and others have doped is bad for the case against a flawed testing system and bad for the sport of cycling.

I believe he could be telling the truth about the other guys doping and I honestly don't care much whether Lance as a person takes a fall for doping but I think it would be really bad for the Livestrong cause and the cancer community if it were to happen. At this point Lance stands for something beyond himself...whether you hate him or not it he is a good image and fundraiser for the cancer community and it would be a shame if that got tarnished.

Cadel is and always will be a wheel sucking drama queen that will never win the TDF even with all the EPO in the world...World Champion? Please that is like winning the Pro Bowl............

And yes Lance doped.... duh... the entire peloton did .........

first of all, Landis pointing fingers at any of his peers is reprehensible.

that being said - i'm kind of suspicious of all conspicuously successful athletes that could benefiet from performance enhancing drugs. including climbers.

especially if a lot of money and movement of product is depending on those athletes current and continuing success. even more so if the athlete can do this without being detected.

imho i feel sorry for Landis in as much as he's being singled out for something that to one degree or another is probably being done by a significant amount - if not all - of his peers. it's one of the troubleing issues of our time.

Landis, it seems, is just guilty of being a dumb-ass in a crisis and not having a better management plan and then doing everything he can possibly do to make himself look worse in an attempt to save himself. kind of like Tiger. Landis probably fucked up his dope scheduleing or doses, and, well, Tiger just fucked his way in to trouble.

whoa, like way too long......

For Cadel to get second twice is astounding, given the teams he has had. I remember a stage in 2007 (I think) when Stuey O'Grady was still racing with him when there was only Cadel and Stuey in the lead bunch at the end, so Cadel acted as lead-out man for O'Grady in the sprint to the finish. In 2008, he didn't even have O'Grady. Anyone would get the shits if they rode their guts out and didn't get any support.

Of all the riders in the peloton, I don't think there's anyone less likely to have taken drugs than Cadel. He has always been vehemently anti-doping, even during his MTB days, and doesn't even drink alcohol. I'll concede that he might come across as whiney, but I very much doubt that he's a doper.
