Try keto but instead of all that silly fat, eat like 4x as much protein that ate what it was supposed to eat. I'm not a doctor but I just lost 40 pounds in my mid 40's and all my aches and pains disappeared. Also, the wife has multiple auto immune disorders and the fore mentioned changed her reality levels upon levels. Good luck.

I wonder about restrictive diets that categorize certain kinds of foods to avoid. Appetites can tell us something about what we need, and that varies. And carbohydrates are tasty, and especially before and after exercising. The various kinds of caloric density in foods are helpful for varied durations of energy expenditure.

Pretty sold personally on bringing a consideration of the daily fast into eating for health. Running the engine a bit on empty as a morning warm up brings my metabolism up. Worst case scenario, I am hungry to eat more bacon.

Brunch is the most important meal of the day. A pleasant truth.
