I'm intrigued my this thing... Have you done a whole pig yet?

I wouldn't call $329 a steal by any means. What did you pay for yours?

Interesting.

Of note:

Several of the youtube videos featuring this cooker, employed by the Cubanos, show much smaller amounts of charcoal being used. Instead of covering the whole tray with briquets they make one small pile on each end. I suppose they are trying to slow down the coooking process a bit? It also shows them flipping more than once. I'd love to try one of these out through. Couldn't justify buying one just to roast pigs though. Is it useful for other things as well?

just discovered it is way more satisfying to eat the kinder egg shell off of the toy capsule. i used to open the two halves of the shell, then eat them each individually, but with the nibbling, you get a stronger sense that there's something real interesting hidden in there.

Naw, those are cornish hens I couln't find cans small enough... I stuffed them with jewelweed, sage, and garlic and they just held their pose like that. Cooked them 30 mins with their back to the fire then 15 mins on front and done. The jewelweed acted as the beer.
