Nice shot! That problem looks 3x taller from the ground, is the wide lens foreshortening it?

Not that I could do that thing, but if you only get one spotter, LC would be my choice....

lens + the perspective point.

in retrospect, a slight shift down and right in perspective probably would have made the face look as tall as it should.

seriously, don't get all offended and defensive, i think you do a great job of it - i especially like the ones where you highlight the focus of the climber on the object hold.

but if a guy that is okay with being percieved as an asshole can't motivate you to step outside your comfort zone, then who will?

"oh, nice photo, kissy kissy poo poo......what lens is that?"

oh yeah, that's real helpful.

This is priceless. That was your reply back then to the above photo. Just think, if had thought more like you do I wouldn't have posted that photo and the one photo below onto flickr and then the editor for Gripped would never have seen it while perusing the page and then it never would have been used for this months cover photo. Got anymore good advice? ;]

And I hadn't even pointed out how terribly overexposed the sky is in the shot that he used to exemplify his diverse talents with the camera...

In my estimation the first one of you to STFU wins.

And if you both STFU you can both win.

On second thought these little exchanges are some of the most entertaining little blips of human interaction this site has seen in a long while, soooooo, have at it.
