i was amazed at the banning of wild beast by americans. that was a revelatory moment, and the beginning, I thought, of a new kind of barbarism.

...all justifications aside, I thought his vulgarity was a perfect kind of snarling dog sort of freedom. we have all been to the point of self loathing, anticipating what the other may say wrong before s/he even says anything, where we are angry before we even know why we are getting angry. but rage is a way of getting into the moment, so it suffices.

i wish our culture were more sustaining. i wish there were more rocks and cliffs around here. i wish the world were better.

wait, so we're expected to believe that Cordless is going out of business because this guy won't lick the corporate boot? And not because Cordless pads are like 1 or 2 degrees better than an old dog bed or a folded blanket?

granted, they did sponsor Rampage, which is by far the greatest bouldering video ever made, but that's neither here nor there.

the reality about the stuff of this sport is that it really is nothing. at a point the coolest gear becomes haphazard hobo equipment two seasons out.

Hobos make shitty crash pads. They're generally too bony and smell like piss.
