Shoulder detonation

So I jumped in the air 15 feet and landed on ice with my shoulder and head. Been about a week and my whole right arm down to my elbow is black and blue. I have very little active mobility with the shoulder but have about 70 passive mobility. I can shrug both ways without pain, but can't punch you in the face. I feel a doc would just give me pills and a regimen for $$$.. anyone have beta on this? I've been doing stretches, wall crawls and icing.

You mean you'd have to pay to go see a doctor and get treated for that? wild!

Sorry dude, get well.

I bet people don't seek/receive treatment if they're concerned about the cost. Kind of like why I'm driving without a muffler.

Maybe sleep with the arm on a pillow if it's comfortable, aspirin.

Here's beta for you: maybe do a quick cost-benefit analysis of tricks you try in the future before going for it?

"if you're not breaking something, you're not going hard enough" is no way to live unless you're covered by a government employee's health insurance and/or milking a trust fund (same thing?). After watching porchiepie destroy himself for the better part of two decades, even on union health insurance, I've developed a knack for sensing where the line is and backing the fuck off.

I recommend you get the piils, but mail them to me. Not worth taking a chance on you abusing them.

Why were you flying 15' through the air? Aren't you too old for those kinds of shenanegins!?

Profound. On another note, the cfs flow on the Escalante will be peaking at record lows this spring. meh.

Yo wordup. So to compound things, I've had a cold for 2.4 weeks, which put me on the floor on my cotton matt for a full week next to my goodwill clothes cardboard box nightstand from compton.

The shoulder is now well enough to actively move my arm in most directions but is still too weak for mma. I would tap before my arm was half locked into a kimura. I can get my arm up to a doorjam, but can't quite hang from it without it popping and grinding like there are paintballs popping inside my shoulder socket. I tried pushups, but the shoulder doesn't quite feel ready for it, like the humerus would break loose of all tendon and tissue and plunge into my ear after breaking the skin. So now I lay on the ground most of the day, working a few days at the ski shop and serving tables by night at two restaurants. The shoulder throbs after work after lifting skis, trays, and stacks of dishes. The cold exasperates the healing process, as I'm not able to eat a lot or well, and the immune process is compromised. I went skiing yesterday, and even the arm motions involved in doing a backflip on cross country (tele) skis brings on pain unless perfectly executed. The snow is rock hard after a freeze thaw cycle.. and the park calls my attention as boredom sets in. My bowflex is no longer accessible as the key won't work to the workout room. I got kicked out of the ritz carlton for poaching their pool and scaring patrons with my purple arm.

I guess I'll sack up and shadowbox in slow motion until things improve.

Wrecked my beloved car and keep wrecking myself running to the bus a half mile to get to work.

am I crazy? I bought chains for my Kenneth coles.

I guess sorta. Just looking for a bit of advice from the orthopedic surgeon population in here.. hence my detailed description. Plus I was a bit bummed, but now I have near full active rom and can do pushups, so things are looking up.

I thought I was gonna die. No arm=no work=no skiing=no pro=no apt.. skeery.

I came out here to turn pro... starting to think these punk kids are stepping up while I'm laid out.

Perhaps time to give triathalons a go.. those ironman guys are old.

Just become a pro rock climber. I'm sure there are lots of people on this board who can give you advice on that.
