Headed to New York and I wanna Climb

Im headed to NY on my Jet Blue Pass sometime between Sept 7th and Oct 6th. Anyone got any beta on where I can go bouldering while im up there? Im gonna be staying in Queens and I'd like to get up to the Gunks and the Master Bedroom.

I hear there is a train that drops you off near the MB from NY? Any way to get to the gunks with out a car?

Im from texas so i love steep sharp over rated choss. Its kind of my specialty. Ill probably be up there early to mid Sept. Can you take a train or something to the gunks? Does anyone know what train I take to the MB choss pile? I get really confused on subways. What about the Ice pond? is it worth it?

I wont even have a pad so I will be flashing everything with one tendinitis ridden elbow tied behind my back, in my $3000 custom splat Nikes.

i know there's a bus station in new paltz; not sure where the nearest train station is. though the trapps from town is a good hike.

i just got back from the gunks a few months ago. so take my advice here. some NYC fanboys, i mean like hordes of them, (you can tell by the dork glasses, vintage sneaks, and paint splatter styled print t-shirts) will approach you and foam at the mouth about this sick new area called "the northeast". dude, all the rage. everbody's there. like RIGHT NOW and you're not.

now if you're into hiking an hour and scrambling up what NYC cats call a "mountain" to climb on 3 extremely sharp, overrated intermediates that you'll probably flash and a shitty V5 that you'll without-a-doubt flash named after some TV whore, go for it. if you want send real problems, just stay on the carriage road.
