The study followed 11,326 adults in Canada for 12 years. Compared to normal-weight people, those who were underweight were 70 percent more likely to die and those who were extremely obese were 36 percent more likely to die, the researchers found.

The information contained within that article sucks. For all it says, since it only looked at mortality and not lifestyle, the skinny people could've been AIDS infested crack whores. Always skinny.

we got a dead man walking here. I actually enjoy articles like this that are counter-intuitive or run opposite of current beliefs in regards health related information. Read another article the other day that had a study that show anti-oxidants are terrible for people have diabetes or borderline diabetics.

also, using the BMI as the sole scale for determining a healthy weight is stupid.

yea. that's what i was about to say. alive stuff dies mang. I gained some weight cuz i haven't done shit to keep in shape (it's hard when you can't walk).. so that means i'm gonna live longer?
