Philo201 FINAL EXAM

Just thought I'd share with you my final exam answers. Pure Poetry.

1.) In about 200 words, of all the philosophers we have studied this term, tell us which one did you think got it "right" the most, and which one did you think got it "right" the least, and why.

I think Bukowski got it right all of the time. Drink until something meaningful happens.

I believe Bush got it right the least. i mean .. he tried god bless his retarded soul, he was just unqualified.

2.) In about 200 words, of all the ethical systems we have studied this term (religion, relativism, situation ethics, egoism, utilitarianism, Kant, Confucius, Aristotle), tell us which one did you think gets it "right" the most, and which one gets it "right" the least, and why.

I think relativism in essence wins the grand prize. It's all relative .. is it not? You want to believe that you as the individual can pioneer the path of perfection according to your beliefs. With relativism .. it's possible! Just as probable that you will succeed and become wealthy under the harsh regime of Capitalism! and not become one of the 99th percentile who slave to enrich the richest 1%!

Religion gets the Razzy award for taking what could possibly be the closest path to the truth and making it the least palatable. God must be turning over in his eternal grave. i give him props for being so patient with the human race. Love you God!

humans aren't a race. they are a species.

wow.. so glad i am not as stupid as you. and, you are STILL in college? i think .. well basically you are loser so whatever i say won't really get through the layer of "dumb" your head is ensconced in.

here... good one for the shiteater lot that is all "Teh meltings pots!! We need more meltings pots!!"

not even ONE of you commented on the threat made by the Muslim-American against South Park writers. Oh that's right.. you probably think that would be offending a Muslim to say threatening someone with killing them is an infringement of their 1st Amendment rights, even though shiteaters shit on the Constitution.

One of the most successful episodes of the series.

1) Get a fucking dictionary, Mr. Biologist. Arrogant retard. Or are you joking, just to provide context for ridiculing college education?
2) Boldering is not a news aggregation website. Plenty of South Park discussion elsewhere...like everywhere.
3) Do you have any friends who weren't born in the US? Immigrant parents at least? Teh melting pots can be a mess, but no messier or uglier than certain established areas of American culture in groups with American lineage.

Funny thing about that is .. I could probably pontificate on Descartes' false "proofs" on the existance of God, or his rediculous circular reasoning for such .. or any errant philosophy that is a derivitive of Dogma. But I would be speaking from my own research and readings on that particular subject and not just regurgitating the one sided opinions of the pundits who happen to disagree with his philosophy.

I mean I guess I could do that, If I wanted to be as intelligent as you. But I'm not as intelligent as you, unfortunately, so I tend to formulate original thought on any one particular subject. Sorry.

a question in response could be, does a philosopher aim, in the main, to get it right? wouldn't that kind of mode of judgment close off the possibility of making miraculous, revelatory mistakes? has a correspondence theory of truth killed imaginative reason? does this little drawing get it right?
