Headed out Saturday for a week of Hawaii fun and hope there's a couple of rocks that aren't a) crumbly volcanic choss or b) razor sharp volcanic choss waiting to cut my nipples off. Saw some DWS at the End of the World but not much else. Beta?

Yup. No rocks. There was a 300-foot long traverse on the wall outside our condo that was a fun morning warmup until the condo association bitches got mad and asked me to stop. Hueco in 3 weeks!

funny when you've "been around" someone for nearly 10 years, they become predictable. i was gonna post something this mornin' like "Lox ain't gonna like sport climbing videos on his bouldering site. He'll be all 'Getz outz chuffzorzers!' or something." but i didn't.

however, i have to agree with some of your points. climbing in hawaii is like surfing in Utah: what the fuck?

my impression of the vid was that it very much resembled the climbing in the Owens River Gorge.
