mid-90's Springfield "Comp Gun".. competition 1911 / .45 ACP. used (duh). took it out today. put ~80 rds through it. well, first WD-40'd it at the range as it was no-likey the coldiness of the temperature and the crudiness of its current state.

post that.. very nice. not sure it likes my choice of bullets (LSWC). well, pretty darn sure. but did get through plenty o' mags w/out a FTF.

had never shot a pistol with a compensator on it before. it automatically makes you a better shooter. just tite groups and FAST. i'd empty an 8 rounder and still be thinking there's another 3 or 4 shots. great comp trigger as well.

yes.. and unfortunately for it, it came my way. i'm really more of a "gun shooter", not a "gun cleaner". we're currently working on working something out in terms of a dedicated gun cleaning work bench. mostly 'beer talk', but something has got to give. it's gotten to the point where i have offered to pay for the materials. it's that bad.

not sure .. oh, that Grand Teton poster? is that the motivational poster? yeah, it's just an old poster of an oldass picture. got it one summer when i was in the Tetons / Jackson, Wyo. got some euro-fag sounding douche on there "Fritioff Fryxell".

it was a gift so i honestly dont know, i'd guess about 70? i can say, that the hickory on this one just feels really nice, but not to the point where you don't even want to use it...goes through the bigger pieces like butter. the leather sheath is nice and when chopping, seriously all you have to do is let the ax fall...
