Last night I enjoyed this brew. On a 1-10 scale, I'd give a 6 or 6.5...it was easy to drink for a double chocolate stout -- and by that i mean it didn't have a whole lot goin' on, given how intense the name makes it sound. Lotsa head, almost black, and not nearly as rich as I thought it'd be. Could taste a little chocolate in there.

Having lived in Brooklyn for the last five years, Red Hook was fucking everywhere. Same with Brooklyn Brewery. Both fully SUCK compared to so much good stuff out there. I'll take a Dogfish Head, Stone, New Belgium, Rogue, or a million other things before a Red Hook or a Brooklyn. fucking CHOSS.

i used to live next door to the brooklyn brewery in the willy-b...was fun on friday (or was it saturday) nights. i think i liked their beers ok, but i was always so drunk, it's hard to remember.
