morels mean spring time to me. burnt poplar and birch woods. look under the leaves.

those are some monster porcinis! wow. i hope they were worm-free! timing is such an issue with those mushrooms...
it is called king bolete because it has that full mushroom flavour out of the ground. porcini for the people indeed!
