So, is 12-G the way to go? It's ridiculous how much cheaper pads are in North America. I can get a big pad and a little pad to go in it in the US for cheaper than a big pad in Australia.

The new 12G is, for lack of a better expression, awesome.
Plus, an Uzi fits inside for the total solo coverage experience.
The new 12G model is slightly smaller than the old one and much lighter in weight. It's also adjustible for diferent body lengths.
For screaming deals, I'd reccomend calling direct.

I have a Misty I've been using since i started climbing. Actually I just bring it for other people to fall on.

The Australian dollar is stronger than the USD at the moment, but a 12G in Australia costs $500, while it costs ~$350 in the US. Are they shipping them one by one by helicopter?

Great. Ran 7 miles on Tuesday. No complaints other than that running is a stupid thing to do.
