I've done some Mountaineering in the Andes in Ecuador. It sucked. I'm glad I did, but I won't do it again. Lots of money, lots of training, lots of planning... all for a long grueling hike in cold O2 poor air. It sucked....

I've been wanting to do more of that shit. All I do is hike and carry gear. I enjoy suffering. I'm stubborn. I fucking hate you. But why Everest? It's not an especially difficult mountain aside from the altitude. It's not an especially interesting mountain... aside from the altitude. The shit of those that came before you is strewn about its snowfields. If you've got enough money you can pay someone to carry your gear so your yuppie oxygen deprived ass can make a summit bid. Who the fuck cares? Not going to the top? Not even slightly interesting. Eat some Diamox and keep your strange cares to your typical self.

However, Aconcagua 2012 should be tits for a walkup.
