A basin and loveland, hell yeah. By the way, I rocked my lowered beemer with lots more hp than yours in the winter and I rolled right past tons of stuck suv's. Get nokian studded tires and you'll be surprised how well your beemer will do. I did also put a limited slip diff in, cost about $400 for the one with the lowest gears (4.28 or so) from the junkyard.

I might even sell you fairly fresh nokian hakkas with wheels if they'll work for you.

I decided i will sell my stock beemer bbs wheels with like new studded nokian tires to you for $1000 if you want. Sounds like alot but that's a deal. You won't be disappointed.

Sup Monkey, You have a 7 bro. I'm not swapping my oem rims unless it's summer and I want z- rated tires and fresh bilsteins. I'm not going to drive from here to CO with studded winter tires mang. I'd take you up if I were moving to tahoe. if you got 225/50r/16 studded tires laying around, I'm in (haul em with me). I'm running stock rims that work well.

Considering selling the bimmer. The hard part is that it kicks ass... but it's expensive to keep tuned. It's also one of those things where once you've invested so much into making it fly, it's sentimental.

I can sell the thing for $4000 and get this: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/2640652143.html or the 20 others in there.

hey bud, good to see you are doing well. i was offering you a wheels and studded tire combo, if that makes a difference. i used them one winter, took off my summer wheels/tires, put on my winter wheels/tires. haul them to co with you and you can change them out in your driveway. obviously you'll be better off with a 4x4, but like i said, studded nokian hakkas are badass, they are ice racing tires from finland made to grip sideways.

Image Ez.

Image Friend was psyched and had fun.

Image miles.

New clutch, flywheel, tires, brakes, rotors, bushings, hoses, radiator, water pump, serp belt, pullies, all leaking parts replaced. Drivetrain is perfect (doesn't burn oil at all, and very little transmission play).

I don't want to sell it.

I don't like driving it too fast in a straight line. It starts floating.

After putting $7000 into the BMW, I'm wondering if it's worth selling it or not. Plus, I'm hooked on it. It's tight, and right... just worried about how it will do in the snow :/. I wish I could take it with me and buy a jalopy subaru for mtn. use only. Oh... I can park it on the street in CO and not have to worry about homeless people shitting on the hood. ftw.

I concur. Rear wheel drive and snow tires is a lot of fun. You get tons of grip. You'll be fine.

Thanks for the beta. I'll be keeping the car. On the phone with U-haul right now to see if I can tow a trailer full of stuff behind it (maybe a bad idea).

I guess I can sell everything and just roll simple. I'm simple. Life should be simple..

On another note, I'm no longer making the money I once had to maintain the ride.. so many options.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/2643282377.html

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/2640652143.html

I'm sure there are plenty more.. I just don't want to blow a head-gasket or someshit on my way out there (which is possible with the bimmer as well).

hmmm..

Factory BBS wheels and Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires = best winter setup for your beemer. $800 takes it all. I'm cutting you a smoking deal because I have no use for them, don't feel like dealing with craigslist idiots, and that's how much it's gonna cost me to fix my truck that I broke this past weekend. Here's a couple pictures of the wheels and tires:

that first listing could be promising. we have a '91 with 254k on it, never been rebuilt, but the auto tranny is not great. so the "low" miles and 5speed...yeah. ours has a 3.0L and is seriously underpowered in the mountains. but we love it around town. we've been thinking about getting a newer 4runner with the older smaller body. in 2003 they got huge.
