yup. the one on the opposite side is the broken one. The sliding one is intact, but the stationary one is broken. Thinking about just stuffing some plexiglass in there, new tempered glass may exceed the cost of the entire camper.

Air crossflow is critical! Dual sliding windows, man.

Get some plastic bead board. Cut out the window shape and insert. $10.

Tempered glass? Dayum son.

was quoted $270 to replace the glass, got me some .220 thickness plexi and fixed it myself for about $60. yay. Put some screens in too, now i just need the low temps at night to go below 78 so i can go sleep in it somewhere.

Hook a marine battery to your main with diodes so it's one-way. You can run directv on that noise and run a/c on them shits... some few + hours.

Generators kick ass too if you want to stay in one spot for a while.

Moving to the mountains and will be sleeping in my vehicle. Snowy roads ahead. BMW has been fun, but it's time for a winter car.

Options:

Volvo 240
'96 Subaru outback
22r pickup, or maybe newer

Hmmm..

Suggestions for under 5k?

Plus an extra grand to build a platform in the back that gives you storage for your tools on one side and clothes/gear/kitchen on the other. FTW.

You should also probably get a coleman blackcat heater and create a system (racks?) of drying your gear in your zone.

Man, I didn't know '97 + Subarus had such bad headgasket issues. There are a mess of '99's for like $3000 with under 150k miles. The 22re engines seem to have similar problems.

I wish my e36 had awd. Of course my car has an aluminum engine, so overheating is not an option.

No, the Tundra was a scam as I'd expected. "I'm in the USMC stationed in Alaska..."

I like the truck you found in lake co., but it has a rebuilt head. Maybe for my price range, a truck with a rebuilt engine/gasket could be a viable option. I just hate not knowing the extent of damage/repair. Same goes for vehicles that are selling because of near detonation. My car is nearing the threshold of being a pain in the ass at 180k.. but the drive-train is immaculate.

Winter storms Dillon, CO in an e36 with studded snow tires? Would that be stupid?
